Welcome to the TRAC site for the BlueNet Metadata Entry and Search Tool (MEST)

This is the site where you can record bugs and issues OR find/enter information about the BlueNet MEST. I'm particularly keen on the testers of the MEST recording bugs and issues here so that they can be fixed and checked off - if you're testing then you'll need a username and password to create new tickets so please email me here

NEW - PRODUCTION RELEASE - 10/06/08 The latest version of the BlueNet MEST is 1.1 (10/06/08) - it is based on geonetwork 2.2 (final) and it contains the ANZLIC Profile (version 1.1), Marine Community Profile or MCP (version 1.2-19139), the Australian Defence Organisation (ADO) profile and the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) profile and a re-working of the 2.2 interface. A download page is available here.

Our overall development plan is to move the functionality in the current MEST into the GeoNetwork trunk - much of this has been done but there is more to come. ANZLIC and Australian profiles will not be moved into the trunk but will continue to be supported locally by BlueNet and partners such as Geoscience Australia and CSIRO. The BlueNet MEST code will be synced with the geonetwork trunk regularly and is available to developers via the geonetwork subversion repository (as a sandbox project). You can browse it by going to the sourceforge svn browser. The main sourceforge site for geonetwork with more details on how to connect to the repository is here.

A mailing list exists for discussion of issues related to the use of the BlueNet MEST in the ANZLIC jurisdictions and elsewhere. You can find out how to subscribe by sending an email message to anzlicmet-l-request@listserv.its.utas.edu.au.
